Gunton railway station : ウィキペディア英語版 | Gunton railway station
Gunton is a railway station on the Bittern Line which connects the city of Norwich to the North Norfolk coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham in East Anglia, England. There is no village of this name, the station being actually situated in the parish of Thorpe Market. Gunton station was built primarily for the convenience of Lord Suffield who lived at nearby Gunton Hall, a major investor in the original East Norfolk Railway Company which built the railway from Norwich to Cromer.〔http://www.bitternline.com/route.htm〕 Gunton's station buildings are now preserved but are privately owned. ==The station today==
The station serves the villages of Lower Street, Thorpe Market and Southrepps. It is served by local services operated by Abellio Greater Anglia. Gunton station is un-staffed, and consists of a single platform with a simple "bus type" shelter for passenger use. Originally the location of a passing loop, the northbound platform and station buildings are no longer in the ownership of the railway. Instead they are owned by Stanley Hurn. There is an unrestricted car park at the station that holds about ten vehicles.
